FIRST FLOOR

The first floor houses the Grand Entrance Lobby, which opens into 24,00sqft of office space. Original woodgrain wall paneling adorns much of the space. There are three sections: 1) Front Area 2) Side Area 3) Area Underneath Tower. The building was built in stages in the early 1970s as Milbank Insurance grew from a small town South Dakota concern into a regional powerhouse.

Cubicles occupy most of the floor space, with five conference rooms, a training room, flex workspaces and employee lockers rounding out the finishes. There are two walk-in, fully concrete blocked steel door safes on the first floor, with a total of four such safes in the building.

There are two sets of Men's and Women's restrooms serving the floor, as well as five private restrooms attached to individual offices. A private elevator accessing the basement, as well as separate staircases serving the basement on the east side and the west side entrance lobby round out first floor access.
